Earlier this week, Nonoba announced that India’s largest gaming platform, Zapak, is now using their GameRise platform which is a white-label multi-player gaming solution. Zapak, which is owned by India’s corporate conglomerate heavyweight Reliance, have over 6 million users and over 5,000 games on its platform today. It’s expected that Zapak will soon be launching a number of new multi-player games on the GameRise platform.
The Danish-based Nonoba’s GameRise platform is basically a content management system that enables development and maintenance of Flash-based games with additional features such as game catalogs, chat rooms and forums. With GameRise, user-run gaming websites can be enhanced with Nonoba’s SDKs and APIs, which include a transactional micro-payment system that manages online payment for games and premium content. GameRise has a number customers including Kongregate, Minijuegos.com and MTV’s Addicting Games.
The GameRise platform is definitely a unique enabling technology for the growth of multi-pla
yer online games – the fast growing gaming segment. By providing a “full-service” MMOG (massively multi-player online game) platform, game creators can rapidly deploy their new games without having to spend tons of time and money in developing the back-end infrastructure. You have to believe this platform (similar to Mochi Media, which is a white-label flash enabled gaming platform provider) will remove a technical barrier and hopefully inspire a new generation of cool, creative games.
