Zokem, a Finnish lifecasting statup, announces global service for their alpha application on multiple platform’s at the recent MindTrek Launchpad in Tampere, Finland. Zoke
m’s mobile lifecasting application enables users to automatically share and publish their daily lives through their mobile phones. Users’ activities and status updates are shared in real time to friends’ mobile phones, and social networking services, such as Twitter, MySpace, FriendFeed and Facebook.
With apps for the Nokia S60, iPhone, Blackberry and Windows Mobile – as well as an app for Java enabled phones – Zokem allows users to easily update their social media information automatically from wherever they may be. Stay in contact with your network by using the Zokem native app itself or by connecting the app to your favorite social networking site for real time updates. You can check out the real time updates on the Zokem home page from some of their alpha users – see screen shot below.
While you may think its a little compulsive to have real time feeds from your friends around the world – the other key value Zokem delivers is simplicity. A growing number of internet users have more than one social media app they are connected to. By linking Zokem to your social media apps via your phone – updating your information is pretty seemless and easy. In addition, the real time aspect delivers a lot of potential options for social “meetups” as well.
The application is still in alpha phase (still a little buggy) but has a lot of potential. For those people worried about the “stalker” factor – users have the ability to set filters on the content and information that they share, including location based info.
Check out Zokem CEO’s, Ludovic Gaudé, feedback from the recent MindTrek Launchpad event:
Pretty cool lifecasting application with a fair amount of potential. Keep posted on Zokem’s progress on their company blog.
