Nvidia leverages cloud computing to render life-like graphic images

The Berlin, Germany-based Mental Images division of Nvidia recently demonstrated their iRay technology that leverages clusters of graphics-focused cloud servers to render lifelike 3-D images.

No this IS a computer generated "life-like" image

The iRay is huge leap forward in leverage cloud computing’s promise of “limitless” computing resources to deliver a truly unique rendering service. By utilizing the iRay technology product designers, engineers, and artists can exploit the massively parallel processing power of the “cloud” enabling more “life-like” 3D visuals and greater levels of creativity.

Bravo to Mental Images, this invention is truly an exciting new “shinny object” on the web!
