Lu.ly recently released its browser extension for Mozilla’s Firefox, Apple’s Safari and Microsoft’s Internet Explorer the lets users see their friends status updated in the scrolling browser toolbar. Lu.ly’s browser toolbar also lets users share the web pages their cruising through on Twitter and Facebook (automatically shortens the URLs being viewed), send direct messages, @replies and RTs. Lu.ly is a pretty cool application to share your adventures on the web with your Twitter and Facebook networks.
As your browsing the web, you can scroll through your new status messages and tweets from friends and click backwards and forwards through your messaging timeline. You can also communicate with both streams directly from the browser toolbar. This is a very cool new way to keep on top of your social networks from your browser as your multi-tasking around the web.
Lu.ly is a fresh new startup with a browser toolbar that actually makes sense and is very useful. Way to go Lu.ly – can’t wait to see what you come up with next.
