Zorap brings real-time interaction to social networks

October 6th, 2009

Zorap, a recent winner of the Fall 2009 Demo-God award, has developed a really n160290991350_8326unique live group audio/visual/media application for social networks.  The Maine-based company has developed a standalone platform as well as a Facebook application which they launched at Demo Fall 2009.  With the Zorap app (just roles off your tongue doesn’t it) you can share almost any type of audio or visual media in private and public group “chat” rooms.

While at first the application seems novel and interesting – the more you use the app and experience the way it really enhances the “social” element of social networking – the more you are hooked.  You can listen to music, watch movie trailers, share photos – you name it – with any of your Facebook friends.  Within the application itself, you can choose content from iMeem and YouTubeZorap plans to monetizes various ad streams to offer contextual related products, like tickets, music, and ringtones.
